​​"Spin is so lucky to have the opportunity to offer members this very popular Ecoprinting class taught by an EcoPrinting expert instructor. Theresa received rave reviews at the 2024 Festival from her students.  Now, is the chance for anyone who missed out on her festival classes to take her online class! 

 

Learn how to imprint beautiful plant designs from Nature and create a background in rich color on silk. Ecoprinting (also known as botanical printing) involves collecting leaves, plants and flowers to imprint their images directly on an  8” x 54” silk scarf using the process you will learn in the workshop. Students will learn 2 techniques to enhance the natural designs by learning to add a richly colored backgrounds on their silk. At the end of the workshop, students will have created 3 silk scarves, ecoprinted in 2 different colors and the knowledge to continue Ecoprinting from Nature's resources. Class is beginner friendly!  Ecoprinting is a natural, sustainable process.
