How to Ecoprint on Leather is the perfect introduction to learning how to ecoprint on leather!  This one day workshop is designed to be suitable for all levels of experience! Ecoprinting uses the tannins, shapes and properties of Nature's leaves, plants and flowers to imprint those designs onto assorted substrates such as silk, wool, linen and other fibers. Leather can be a particular challenge.So in this workshop, you will learn the techniques of creating imprints on leather with designs in color and natural.

 

What will you be doing? We will be working on creating beautiful ecoprints on lambskin and sheep leather and  using Nature's colors for a natural imprint and then additional techniques for added color on leather. The weight of the leather for the class can be sewn on a home sewing machine!

​Registration of $80.00 is with Cocoon Art Gallery and there is an additional supply fee of $35.00 payable at the class to me (Theresa) Students are encouraged to bring their own local leaves but I will have some collected from the fall!. Store bought leaves include live eucalyptus and daisy type flowers. No holly or camelia leaves (sorry!) Strawberry ends are good too!
