A DIY leather journal kit designed for ecoprinters! Take the guesswork out of finding leather that is suitable for ecoprinting! Perfect as a sketchbook or diary.

This is heavier weight cowhide suitable for journal covers (no interfacing needed-I use it for my handbags!) It is not tooling leather. It takes ecoprinting and dyeing well. 

Kit includes everything you need to create your own journal. All you need to do is ecoprint your design

Kit:

   * Leather: 8" x 16" cowhide. 4-5 oz to create a 6"x 8" art or writing journal with 2" fold over pockets.

   * 50 pages deckle edged rag paper, holes pre-punched.

   * Waxed thread (choice of white or brown)

   * 1 harness needle for hand sewing leather

   * Elastic for book closure

   * Instruction sheet for construction of 6" x 8" leather journal with 2 foldover pockets on inside front and back.


Ecoprint instructions not included. 

Additional tools required: hole punch

Hand stitching is recommended but it is possible to machine stitch on some home sewing machines with a walking foot and leather needle.

The finished art journal is a 6"× 8" size. There is an elastic closure as well as 2 interior pockets to store pencils or brushes.  Plenty of drawing or writing opportunities with 50 sheets of deckle edged blank rag paper.
